Hard to believe it's been close to 2 weeks since MN-WI K9 SAR sponsored the 2017 LETS trailing seminar.  We can finally take a breath after catching up at our day jobs to say thank you.   A ton of people to thank and we will do our best not to leave anyone out.  First of all, the PETCO foundation without their generous support we would not have been able to keep seminar costs low for the volunteer canine teams from MN, WI, and IL that participated.  We had a number of food and beverage donations that kept our participants and K9s well fed and hydrated—EVP 300 Coffee, Colectivo, Willy Street Co-op, and Trader Joe's of Madison, Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks of Janesville, and Rochester Feed and Country in Minnesota.

Location, location, location, a number of areas were needed to lay multiple different tracks for the canines and handlers.  Each dog and handler needed its own specific track (1/4-1/2 mile long) each day.  This seminar would not have been possible without the following allowing us to use their property: Rock River Thresheree in Edgerton, Rock County Department of Public Works Parks Division Lee Park, Janesville Fire Station #5, and the Fire Training Center in Janesville, and the Griffin and Folts property.  Classroom space donated by Janesville Fire Station #1.

And what can we say about the track layers, it takes a special group of people to take a bit of a hike, even sloshing through streams, and sit out in the woods (for some over two hours) waiting for a canine team to come find them.  And finally a big shout out to our Law Enforcement Training Specialist’s seminar instructors without their patience and knowledge we would not of been able to have had such a wonderful seminar. Thanks again to all!
